For SPD, as well as any other medical condition, diet is extremely important. Our bodies have specific nutritional requirements to ensure the health of bones, muscles, connective tissue, nerves and organs. A healthy diet is not restrictive, but does involve certain basic principles.

Pelvic Pain in Women.
A woman's pelvis contains the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, vagina, bladder, and rectum. These organs are supported by soft tissue and ligaments which lie within the bony cradle of the pelvic girdle. Pelvic pain refers to any pain or discomfort in these areas of the body.

Guidelines for Midwives
If you are a midwife and have a client who presents with pelvic pain, this document gives some information which may help to identify SPD/PJP as the cause.
